Fu Zheng Therapy is a form of traditional Chinese herbalism that literally means “to restore normalcy and balance to the body.” It does not specifically treat any infection or disease state but helps rebuild the body’s resistance and innate strength so that it may more effectively contend with the manifestations of the disease. The following formula is based on herbs traditionally used in Fu Zheng Therapy.

·        Reishi mycelium and fruiting body (Ling zhi)
·        Cordyceps mycelium and fruiting body (Dong chong xia cao)
·        Flammulina mycelium and fruiting body

·        Eleutherococcus gracilistylus root bark (Wu jia pi)
·        Suma root

·        Supports immunity
·        Eases occasional insomnia, fatigue, nervous strain, and allergies
·        Promotes healing

Ingredient Details
The Coriolus versicolor or "Turkey Tail" mushroom

The Coriolus versicolor or "Turkey Tail" mushroom has been investigated in numerous laboratory, animal and human clinical studies. Most of these studies have demonstrated that it does appear to have significant antimicrobial, antiviral and antitumor properties when used as a supplement to chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. The anti-cancer and immune stimulating properties of Coriolus versicolor have been attributed to two extracts from its cultured mycelium (thread-like extensions). These extracts are both protein-bound polysaccharides known as polysaccharide K (PSK) and polysaccharide-peptide (PSP). Hot water is required to extract these active components.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum)

Known as "The Elixir of Immortality," Reishi mushrooms have long been used in China and Japan. Reishi is classified as one of the "supreme herbs" in the sixteenth century compendium Materia Medica, and was believed to help promote healing and longevity.* Recent studies show that Reishi may help maintain healthy immune, antimicrobial, antiviral and antitumor properties, and protects the nervous and cardiovascular systems.* Reishi has also been shown to support healthy liver function.*

Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis)

Found in pristine high altitude locations in Nepal and China, Cordyceps mushrooms are used in China to promote stamina, endurance and sex drive.* Cordyceps has gained much attention in the West since the early 1990's, when Chinese track athletes shattered world records and revealed that Cordyceps was an important part of their training regimen. Since that time Cordyceps has been embraced by a growing number of endurance athletes worldwide.
        Cholesterol reduction
        Stimulation of the immune system
Faster recovery from bronchitis and respiratory diseases
Increased efficiency and stamina of the circulatory system
        Anti-tumor properties
Liver protection and enhanced recovery from chemotherapy
        Sexual potentiator
A general body adaptogen, resulting in more energy, strength, and stamina

Enokitake (Flammulina velutipes)

Enokitake (Flammulina velutipes), commonly known as the “Golden Needle Mushroom” or “Winter Mushroom”, is an edible mushroom that grows on the stumps of the hackberry, mulberry, and persimmon trees.  Due to its crisp texture, Enokitake are used frequently as an ingredient in East Asian cuisines. Extracts from the Enokitake mushroom contains immuno-modulatory protein that can be potentially excelled for immune therapies  and to support cardiovascular health . The Enokitake mushroom extracts contain beta-D-glucan and immuno-modulatory protein (lectin) which helps promote natural antioxidant production , balance immune response , and to promote general liver health .

Astragalus root (Huang qi)

Immunostimulant and antitumor agent that has been shown to increase survival time in patients with adenocarcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and breast cancer.
Immune deficiency conditions such as HIV, CFIDS, and TB
Dry coughs, frequent upper respiratory tract infections, asthma.

Patients suffering from Coxsackie B viral myocarditis with depressed natural killer (NK) activity were treated with Astragulas membranaceus (AM) intramuscularly for 3-4 months. After the treatment, the NK activity was increased significantly from 11.5 +/- 11.9% before therapy to 44.9 +/- 15.0%. Another 6 patients of Coxsackie B viral myocarditis with depressed NK activity were treated with conventional therapy. The NK activity remained unchanged in 12.9 +/- 6%.

Eleutherococcus gracilistylus root bark (Wu jia pi)

Extracts of E. senticosus have been shown to have a variety of biological effects in vitro or in animal models, but these effects have not been demonstrated in humans:
increased endurance/anti-fatigue, memory/learning improvement, anti-inflammatory, immunogenic, antidepressant-like effects in rats./ In Chinese herbology, E. senticosis is used by people with bone marrow suppression caused by chemotherapy or radiation, angina, hypercholesterolemia, and neurasthenia with headache, insomnia, and poor appetite.

Suma Root

With a common name, Para Todo, meaning "for everything," there is a hint of just how much benefit may be to your health. Sometimes refered to as the South American version of ginseng, it has become a popular tonic that is used to boost the immune system and to fight temporary depression and fatigue. It has been used for Epstein-Barr Syndrome and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and it may make a difference in energy levels and stamina to a tired body.
Suma is considered a tonic and an agent that normalizes bodily functions during stressful situations, helping the body to adapt and return to an overall sense of well-being. It is regarded as an excellent tonic for recovering convalescents. It is used to treat exhaustion resulting from debilitating viral infections, such as Epstein-Barr disease and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and may be helpful in alleviating some of the effects associated with AIDS and other wasting illnesses.

Organic Coconut Oil

“*Nature's Approved® Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil available in 1000 liter totes, 55 gal, 5 gal, 1 gal pails, 30 oz jars and 15 oz jars. Private label available. Please inquire.
Nature's Approved®
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Nature's Approved® Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is from certified organic coconuts grown in Fiji, and the production is also certified organic by a USDA  approved Certifier.

Due precisely to the production method, the coconut oil we provide thereby retains plant sterols and tocotrienols: Tocotrienol intake could result in bioactive concentrations (click for article)-- Tocotrienols, the least studied form of vitamin E, can achieve levels in the blood that may give protection against a wide range of diseases such as cancer and stroke, says a new study from the US. Read this article to learn more: Fat Facts - on selecting healthy dietary facts - Ingrid Kohlstadt, MD, MPH.
Because this Organic Virgin Coconut oil is not refined bleached or deodorized (RBD) and in this pure virgin form, it retains the health natural to coconuts including the medium chain fatty acids and the 50% lauric acid now recognized as highly beneficial. Processing is from expeller pressing the chopped and dried coconut meat. Production supplies from this certified producer are exclusively for Assured Organics distribution.
LOGO_Natures_Approved-2012-Final

Recently assembled scientific studies See Dr Mary Enig's "Know Your Fats" show that virgin (unrefined and non-hydrogenated) coconut oil has anti-bacterial and anti-viral and anti-proteozoal properties leading to many identified health benefits. Dr Enig also believes lactating women using it will further increase their mono-lauric milk content to the benefit of the nursing babies and studies are being devised to prove this hypothesis. Monolauric acid is a natural major component of mother's milk and strengthens the immune system.

The high content of lauric acid in Nature's Approved Virgin Coconut oil is quickly converted to monolauric acid in the body and much is also easily converted to energy. Athletes use Medium Chain Fatty Acids such as those found in Coconut Oil as a quick energy source.

What Are the Best Ways to Treat Stress?

Golden Monkey Loose-Leaf Black Tea
Cordycepts

What Are the Best Ways to Treat Stress?

  1. 1. Cordycepts are a therapeutic fungus found at the high altitudes in China and are one of the most valued medicinal fungi in Chinese medicine.  Research dating back to 1843 suggests the use of cordyceps to help strengthen and rebuilding the body after exhaustion or long term illness.  It is used by athletes to recover after a heavy workout.

2.  Ashwangandha known as a classic rejuvenating herb in Indian medicine, ashwagandha has been shown to enhance adaptability to both physical and chemical stress.  For instance, mice pretreated with ashwagandha and subjected to physical stress showed increased endurance, it can prevent stress induced ulcers.

Ginseng

  1. 3. Ginseng is greatly valued as a tonic, a substance that acts to normalize body function and biochemistry. According to traditional Chinese medicine the individual who will benefit from Ginseng is overwhelmed and exhausted

Bladderwrack
  1. Bladderwrack (seaweed) is a nutrient that provides a natural source of iodine which is required for the synthesis of T4 in the thyroid gland. Stress hinders the proper function of this metabolic regulator, the thyroid.  Research suggests that high levels of stress affects the synthesis of thyroid hormone T4 and T3 causing, weigh gain, fatigue, depression, irritability, memory loss, and possible heart failure.

  1. B12 is also important in maintaining the nervous system. Nerves are surrounded by an insulating fatty sheath comprised of a complex protein called myelin. B12 plays a vital role in the metabolism of fatty acids essential for the maintenance of myelin. Prolonged B12 deficiency can lead to nerve degeneration and irreversible neurological damage.
