This class will teach us how to use herbs, whole foods and medicinal mushrooms to build and balance our life-force energy, regenerate our internal organs, strengthen our immune system, and prevent disease. The topics covered will include: food cures for common ailments such as digestive and immune system disorders, respiratory and cardiovascular problems, allergies, pain management, etc.; the effects of food on mood and emotional well-being; the extraordinary health benefits of mushrooms such as Reishi, Shitake and Maitake (and recipes to prepare and use them); the importance of seasonal eating in Asian medical traditions; healthy weight loss; and longevity-promoting foods and detoxification.
